Affiliate Scheme FAQ's
Why Are Only Customers Allowed To Join Our Affiliate Scheme?
Mainly to discourage timewasters from joining. We only want affiliates who actually use our products and can genuinely recommend them to others based on their own experiences.
How Do I Get Paid?
We pay commissions quarterly. If you're UK resident we pay by cheque. If you're outside the UK, we pay by PayPal; you must therefore open a PayPal account in order to receive such payments. Note that if your total outstanding commission is less than £50 we will defer payment until the first quarter in which your outstanding commission exceeds £50. This is normal practice with most affiliate schemes.
What Is PayPal?
PayPal (www.paypal.com) is a payment system that allows payments to be 'made' to email addresses.
What About Currency Issues?
We are UK based. All commissions are paid in UK Sterling (pounds - £). When a commission relates to a sale originally made in US$, we will convert the US$ value of the commission to UK Sterling at the rate in force at the time the commission is paid. All payments we make via PayPal are made in UK Sterling. The currency you receive your PayPal payment in depends on your PayPal account setup.
How Do I Link To Your Web Site?
Once you've been accepted into the scheme, we will set up a web page on our web site that you should use as the link target from your site. This is like a special 'doorway' to the home page of our web site that allows us to associate your affiliate account with subsequent orders placed within 7 days of the use of the 'doorway' by a visitor from your site.
To increase the likelihood of visitors to your site using your affiliate link, we suggest that:
you don't simply include the link to our site buried in amongst other lists of links;
say why you like our software based on your own personal experience and why you're prepared to recommend it to others. Then include the link.
make the link and your recommending text appropriately prominent. How you do this, and the extent to which you give it prominence, is entirely up to you.
On joining the scheme we will email you the basic HTML code you need to paste into your web site for the link.
