Exporting - CSV & XML

CSV - text files

Breeders Assistant provides a powerful and highly configurable facility for extracting data from your database in text (CSV) format. We believe that you should have open access to extract your data from the database in a format that you can readily use in other programs. Click here for more details.

The following export options are provided:
You choose exactly which fields you want to export, and in what order.
Select delimiter (normally comma) and field quotation options.
Choose whether to generate a heading line (with column names).
Advanced users can specify a custom export string for even greater flexibility - allows access to field codes and you can use macros to further manipulate the text prior to output.
Export to text file or to the clipboard.

Breeders Assistant lets you have multiple export configurations - so you can switch between completely different export layouts quickly.

Breeders Assistant has similarly powerful CSV import features as well.

XML - Open Pedigree Software Group OPSX

NEW: Breeders Assistant can export pedigree data in XML format, compliant to the OPSX specification recently developed by the Open Pedigree Software Group (OPSG - www.opsg.org). This provides a seamless way to transfer pedigree data between OPSX compliant applications.

Colin Manning, developer of Breeders Assistant, is a founding member of the OPSG.
