Which version of Breeders Assistant do you require?
Cat Version
The cat version of Breeders Assistant has a number of features specifically tailored to the needs of cat breeders including registry specific support (for GCCF, CFA and TICA breeders).
With the Professional and Extended Editions, it is possible to incorporate predictions of coat color into documents such as trial mating pedigrees and mating certificates.
The Extended Edition also includes a suite of advanced population genetics tools e.g. to minimize inbreeding in the offspring or to maximize the influence of specific cats.
Dog Version
The dog version of Breeders Assistant has a number of features specifically tailored to the needs of dog breeders including registry specific support (for UK Kennel Club, and AKC breeders).
With the Professional and Extended Editions, it is possible to include predictions of coat color in documents such as trial mating pedigrees and mating certificates.
The Extended Edition augments this with a set of advanced population genetics tools e.g. to minimize inbreeding in puppies born or to maximize the influence of important dogs.
Generic Version
The 'generic' version of the product, which is intended for use with animal types for which there isn't a specific, customized, version of Breeders Assistant. E.g. for rare breed sheep, goats, etc.
The Extended Edition includes a suite of advanced population genetics tools e.g. to minimize offspring inbreeding, and to help reduce the loss of genetic diversity in the breeding population e.g. by selecting to minimize mean kinship or to maximize the contribution from under-represented founders.
Horse Version
The Professional now includes a model of horse color genetics making it possible to include predictions of coat color in documents such as trial pedigrees.
The Extended Edition also includes a number of population genetics tools e.g. to minimize offspring inbreeding, to maximize the influence of specific individuals, and to reduce mean kinship in the breeding population.
