This video demonstrates the calculation of inbreeding, genome uniqueness and pedigree completeness for a breeding population using the Extended Edition.

This is also covered in the longer video 'Measures Of Genetic Diversity In Depth' Play Video

There is also a separate video which you are recommended to watch first that explains about the test data and how to set up a breeding pool.

1. The ancestral inbreeding coefficient is computed using the method of Ballou, JD. ("Ancestral Inbreeding Only Minimally Affects Inbreeding Depression in Mammalian Populations", Journal of Heredity 1997, 8:169-178).
2. The pedigree completeness index is computed using the method of MacCluer et al ("Inbreeding and Pedigree Structure in Standardbreed Horses", Journal of Heredity 1983, 74:394-399).
3. Gene drop analysis and genome uniqueness is described in MacCluer et al ("Pedigree analysis by computer simulation", Zoo Biology 5, 147/160, 1986).
